K-DRAMA FESTA
COMING SOON
THE FESTIVAL

Fan Meetings & Interviews
The fan meetings are the most highly anticipated part of the event: an unforgettable chance to see your favorite actors up close. Through intimate interviews and screenings of iconic scenes from their dramas, the actors share their personal stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and exclusive career insights. Fans will also have the chance to interact with the stars, ask questions, and get autographs.

Screenings & Previews
One of K-Drama Festa’s goals is to give the audience the chance to experience K-dramas on the big screen. Through partnerships with OTT platforms and broadcasters, we aim to showcase exclusive scenes and episodes, giving fans the opportunity to discover the most anticipated series before their official release. In addition to dramas, the festival also celebrates Korean cinema with a special screening of a film, featuring the director in attendance.

Masterclasses & Round Tables
K-Drama Festa is also a valuable opportunity for professionals and students in the audiovisual industry to network and grow. In collaboration with Italian universities like La Sapienza University in Rome, we aim to create spaces for discussions with industry experts, exploring trends, strategies, and opportunities for collaboration between Italy and South Korea. It’s a unique chance to explore the world of Korean drama from both an academic and professional standpoint.

Hallyu Experience
K-Drama Festa is all about taking the audience on an authentic journey through Korean culture, exploring the elements that have made the Hallyu Wave a global phenomenon. From Korean cuisine to beauty and skincare secrets, traditional clothing to the latest fashion trends, webtoons and so much more.

Bridging continents, Translating emotions
From March 14 to 17, the Teatro Tasso in Sorrento hosted the first edition of K-Drama Festa, an event that brought actors, directors, screenwriters, and academics to Italy for the first time to explore the phenomenon of K-dramas through panels, screenings, and discussions.
The event kicked off with opening remarks from the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Italy, Seongho Lee, and the Mayor of Sorrento, Massimo Coppola, officially marking the beginning of a packed program. One of the standout moments was the special screening of Road to Boston, with director Kang Jegyu in attendance to share behind-the-scenes insights and the film’s profound message.
The fan meetings and interviews with actors Oh Jungse, Yu Junsang, Kim Hyeeun, and Ye Jiwon also drew a large crowd, as they shared anecdotes from their careers and their most memorable roles. Screenwriter Kim Eunhee, the creative mind behind Kingdom and Signal, gave an exclusive look into her creative process.
The festival also provided an opportunity to explore the K-drama phenomenon from an academic perspective, with lectures from professors at prestigious Korean universities. In a panel focused on potential collaborations between Italian series and K-dramas, industry professionals such as Billy Acumen (BA Entertainment), Maurizio Gemma (Campania Film Commission), and Hwanjin Lee (SBS) discussed the possibilities for cooperation between the two industries.
The event also celebrated broader aspects of Korean culture. The red and blue carpet paid tribute to the attending stars, while the K-Food Event, organized by AT Korea and Kooksondang, offered participants the chance to sample authentic flavors. The gala evening closed the event with a fusion Italian-Korean menu, complemented by artistic performances.
The first edition of K-Drama Festa received a warm reception, with over 50 articles published in English, Korean, and Italian, coverage on TG3 Rai Campania and VG Canale 21, and significant engagement across social media. And this is just the beginning.
